5 out of 5 eggsExcellent TV

Pros: Great HD picture, works great playing Half-Life, Rainbox Six Vegas. The split screen option is nice. I am able to watch two football games at one time. The GF can also watch her movie while I was some hockey (sensory overload!). I love the SD card slot to display my trip photos. Also, the built in TV Guide option is great when surfing.

Cons: Regular TV is a let down after watching HD, oh well, I only need to wait another year or so before everything is HD.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent!!!!

Pros: The screen is huge... Compared to my old LCD 27" TV. Its definitely a big difference.

Cons: Too soon to have any cons

Other Thoughts: You will not be disappointed if you purchased this plasma. My friend and I were researching for the best TV and we came up with this one for the price. Plus, Panny's are very reliable.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat TV!

Pros: Excellent picture, excellent price. Just know what your getting into when you buy this set. 720p, not 1080, which is fine for what i need it for. This panasonic line of plasma's has been rated and taken 5 of the top 10 spots with their different sets (size/packages)..

Cons: None -

Other Thoughts: People who are complaining of the glare - be aware this set doesnt come with an anti glare coating on the screen!! DO NOT BE AFRAID! All this means is that you must strategically position your set away from a bright window, which serious gamers/videophiles will do anyway. Someone complained of the glare on this set when they put it next to their living room window, and they couldnt watch it during the day because glare is unbareable... if you do that with any other set, plasma, lcd, tv or otherwise.. it will be the same ... sheesh!

5 out of 5 eggsVery Happy

Pros: HD looks gorgeous on this TV, naturally. But the really great part is that it even makes SD look good as well! Couldn't be happier! I ordered Saturday and NewEgg was ready to deliver by Wednesday. This is an amazing TV. I researched my purchase before settling on this on and am so glad with my purchase. Also works great with my G4 Powerbook & a dvi to hdmi cable.

Cons: The BBE audio "features" are weak. Make sure you turn them all off.

Other Thoughts: I use the following settings: Picture Mode = Standard, Picture = +22, Brightness = +08, Color = +01, Tint = -04, Sharpness = -04, Color Temperature = Warm, Black Level = Light

5 out of 5 eggsVerry Happy

Pros: Couldn’t be any happier. TV looks great. I have standard Cox cable and was worried that it was going to look bad on the 50 but it is very acceptable + QAM tuner brings in HD from Cox Phoenix at no extra cost so no need for an ugly OTA HD antenna

Cons: None yet.

Other Thoughts: AIT was great. I ordered on Tuesday 8/6 at 12am and it arrived in perfect condition from AIT 10am Friday 8/10. Friendly phone staff and delivery people.

5 out of 5 eggs50 PX-600U

Pros: Consumer Reports ranked the 600U 3rd out of 17 50" plasma's. Number #1 went to the 58" version of this set. If you have a Blue Ray player or upconverting DVD player, this Panny accepts and displays 1080p signals. Has a connection adapter for connecting a PC for use as a monitor with sound. Great picture, great value if you want to save a bundle by getting the 9th generation instead of the newest 10th generation. My Plasma is wall mounted.

Cons: For the price, I have no complaints.

Other Thoughts: Use these settings for almost perfectly calibrated picture. These settings were calbrated using a color meter.
Picture Mode Standard
Picture +22
Brightness +8
Color -1
Tint -4
Sharpness -14
Color Temperature Warm
Enhanced Black Level Off

5 out of 5 eggsPanasonic HDTV model TH50PX600U

Pros: Great HD picture, crisp and clear, and I like the connections provided. Watched the Pocono race on DTV / ESPN and the picture was excellent! This is my first experience with HDMI and it is great. No hanging gardens of Babylon behind the hardware anymore. I used the TV as the source for all the signals instead on the SS Receiver and it worked out great. One optical cable from the TV to the receiver and all the sound inputs are handled. I woud recommend this HDTV to anyone, period!

Cons: AIT logistics service. I understand it took time to get the TV from LA to Central Florida, but when it arrived in Orlando it rode around on the truck for FOUR days before it was delivered. Not good! The dispatcher told me it would arrive between noon and 5 PM. Like I'm taking off work to sit around all day waiting on a box! After a little discussion about customer service I was told that they would call at least an hour before delivery. Needless to say I got a call and met the delivery guy at the house and only missed a hour of work. Newegg you can find a better service.

Other Thoughts: As usual, Newegg is this best!!!

5 out of 5 eggsPerhaps the best choice!

Pros: I studied many sets and looked at both LCD and Plasma up to 60" I was convinced that the 600-series Panasonic not only had the best picture, but performance and features (inputs, etc.) beyond most. Using with HDTV CATV box, HTPC, up-scaling Denon 2910 DVD and other sources. Picture, sound and connectivity can't be beat.

Cons: Would appreciate more HDMI and/or DVI connections, but overall connectivity is superb.

Other Thoughts: Don't hesitate to buy this set from NewEgg. Panasonic's quality, long life and excellent performance stands way above others, and NewEgg's service and quick delivery can't be beat. You might find this for slightly less elsewhere, but you get what you pay for. Mine arrived in 6 days (including a weekend) in perfect condition and has thrilled my family and friends since I mounted it. Peerless tilting mount works great with this set - highly recommended.

4 out of 5 eggsBuyer Beware Update

Pros: Read previous post. Extra thoughts-Panasonic plasma Consierge service. Lots of extras on this model. Fast service by Newegg. Beautiful sleek and stylish Panasonic Model.

Cons: Glare.

Other Thoughts: I found a no-cost solution to my glare problem. It was removed from the t.v. stand and now sits on the floor. The glare is not 100% gone, but it is greatly reduced. Now I can watch t.v. during the day instead of only at night. It does look odd on the floor, but I`m sure the family will get used to it in time. If your in a situation similar to mine, it`s best to go with a 46" or 47" LCD, if you can afford it, as they do not have glass panels that give off a lot of reflection.
