3 out of 5 eggsIt makes coffee

Pros: This coffee maker will, when properly setup, turn coffee beans into fresh coffee while I'm still playing with the snooze button.

Cons: The external seal on the thermos pot leaks so water from the dishwasher gets into the lining and then pours out on the counter during use. If you accidentally push the program or on buttons while the machine is disassembled, as in cleaning, it will beep until you either assemble it or unplug it. If you unplug it you have to reset the time and program the clock. It has a lot of parts, all of which need to be cleaned between uses. From 2- 5% of the coffee never gets from the bean grinder into the brew basket. After 1 year the grinder bowl has become difficult to remove from the machine for cleaning (binds) All parts must be assembled and in place (grinder etc.) for it to function even if you are using ground coffee,

Other Thoughts: I bought this machine over the counter (not from Newegg) I really liked the idea of a freshly ground cup of coffee in the morning. I still use this machine and the coffee produced is acceptable. I expected more. It really only holds enough beans to make about 8 cups of reasonably strong coffee. The AM/ PM indicator is difficult to read and many is the time that I wake up to unbrewed coffee because the clock/ program LED is not set properly. It works, but I wouldn't buy it again.

2 out of 5 eggsVery expensive coffee grinder

Pros: It grinds coffee beans.

Cons: After about 6 months the standard brew cycle went from 10 cups to 2. After multiple cleanings it will not brew more than 2 cups with the regular cycle. After it finishes those 2 cups, I had to turn the grinder off and set it to 2-4 cup mode for it to finish brewing. The coffee quality is subpar, at best, even with fresh roasted beans. Cleaning this between each brew is also a pain, as the coffee "dust" mixes with steam and basically fills every nook and cranny with brown coffee slop.

Other Thoughts: I got this on sale for myself as a Christmas present and I'm glad I didn't pay full price. It was a neat concept as first and I took great care of it, however I feel like that effort I put into it never really equaled the quality of the coffee it produced. There are much better options out there - K-Cup, French Press and the Hamilton Beach BrewStations. Any of those will offer a better experience and a better cup of coffee. However, if you need a coffee bean grinder, this does a great job - not much else, though.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome

Pros: My husband bought this coffee maker because of the integrated coffee grinder, and he loves it! I do too but i don't drink coffee lol. We've had no problems with it. I highly recommend it.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Coffee Maker/Grinder

Pros: Makes my coffee fresh and hot! Steel thermos/coffee pot keeps coffee hot for a few hours! I love it getting coffee with fresh grounds, and yes, Cuisinart is good on their rebates, just takes a little while. Be patient.

Cons: A little pricey, but I think it's worth it..

Other Thoughts: costs a heck of a lot cheaper than Starbucks at $5 a cup, every day, 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year, which adds up to like $260 annually. OF course you still gotta buy coffee, but it will still pay for itself in a year or so.

2 out of 5 eggsGrind and Brew a Bad Choice

Pros: When it works it makes OK coffee. If your crammed for shelf space and only make an occasional pot of coffee it might be an acceptable choice.

Cons: Very hard to clean and even the smallest ground can cause flow valve to stop working and machine to overflow. Often times it will not use all the water and you have to re-run with the grinder off. For every hour you it spends making coffee it takes two hours in cleaning. I doubt this thing was ever tested by anyone who used it for more than a week.

Other Thoughts: Ive tried several grind and brew brands and I'm beginning to believe that the technology is not there for this process. Maybe in a machine costing several hundred dollars, but I'm unwilling to spend that much. I'm going back to simpler machines and a separate grinder.

4 out of 5 eggsMuch improved

Pros: Great tasting coffee. We had the first version of this machine and this one is twice as easy to clean and use. It is a bit more work but after having the first version this is great. Love the craft as the thermal helps with making it easy to clean as the steam doesn't rise into the grinder housing.

Cons: None so far just a bit more work to clean than an average maker.

Other Thoughts: Definately buy if replacing the original. If not still recommended but be ready for more cleaning. Less than 2 minutes to clean all the parts.

3 out of 5 eggsGreat Coffee

Pros: Makes great coffee. Thermos keeps coffee warm for many hours. Typlically plenty warm to drink after 2 hours, and maybe 3. You can use beans or pre-ground coffee. You can use the permanent filter or paper filters.

Cons: Small filter basket. A lot of moving parts to clean after each brew. If I knew it had this many moving parts to clean and get all setup just right in order to brew I wouldn't have bought it.

Other Thoughts: It does make great coffee though.

2 out of 5 eggsGreat taste, doesn't last

Pros: Makes great tasting coffee and very convenient when it works.

Cons: We've had 3 of this model and they all ended up broken. The first 2 the grinder broke...we still used it for awhile just buying pre-ground coffee. The third one didn't last one month, so we had to give up the dream and get a separate grinder & coffee maker. Great idea, just doesn't last.

5 out of 5 eggsWOW! Great Value!

Pros: I really liked this product. The coffee smells and tastes great. The water filter is a total bonus and makes a huge difference in the taste of the coffee. Daily cleaning is needed just like any other Coffee Machine. The thermal pitcher is a total bonus, no worries in breaking a glass type. My coffee stays "HOT" all day long!

Cons: My only complainant was the printing on the machine started to wear off after 3 months of use.
