4 out of 5 eggsWorks Great!

Pros: Makes hot water quickly, coffee comes out fresh every time, doesn't seem to use much electricity. Auto off is a great feature for when you make a cup of coffee and walk away for too long. Doesn't consume too much countertop space, is easy to clean, and even comes with a carbon filter. I'm sure that the carbon filter helps with the nasty water we have around here.

Cons: Can be a little noisy when its brewing. I've seen these in friend's homes, and sometimes they are louder, other times they are quieter than mine. It seems to be a quality control issue.

Other Thoughts: When this is on sale, it's a great buy. Even off sale, its great for coffee and tea lovers.

1 out of 5 eggsPass on keurig

Pros: Simple.

Cons: Didn't even make it to the 2nd year mark. Used 2-3 times per week. Shame we have all of these k-cups and filters and now have to purchase another machine (that might make it 2 years next time if we're lucky) or abandon all of the k-cups.

4 out of 5 eggsPretty Good, But Not Perfect.

Pros: It produces a good cup of coffee.
It's reasonably efficient.
Lot's of variety when using optional "brew your own" k-cups.

Cons: Big. It takes up more room than a conventional brewer even though it makes less brewed coffee per use.
Expensive. Everything about it costs more than I think is reasonable unless you can find third party options and use the cups that allow you to use your own coffee source.
But my biggest complaint is that there is no control over the temperature of the finished product. While it produces a cup of coffee at just about the right temperature to drink, if you add any kind of refrigerated creamer it drops the temp down to a less than perfect level. Then you have to microwave the coffee to get it back up to where it needs to be, which means you have to be using a microwave safe cup/mug that will fit both under the Keurig and in your microwave. It's just a pain.

Other Thoughts: I'm not a coffee fanatic. I only drink coffee in the morning and then only during the winter months. Prior to getting the Keurig I was using instant coffee and found it to be a less that desirable product. I've been getting my Keurig ready for the upcoming winter season but I'm beginning to wonder if a small serving conventional coffee maker might not be a better idea.

5 out of 5 eggsCoffee flows again in my home.

Pros: Choice of 3 cup sizes
large, removable reservoir
Quite and quick to brew
Auto Off
Includes extra charcoal filter
Inexpensive
Box of Kcups thrown in

Cons: Can't think of any?
Prevents sleep if drunk after 8.00pm!

Other Thoughts: I bought my first Keurig B40 in 2011. I am the only person who drinks coffee in my household and this coffee machine served me 3 cups of coffee 5 days of the week until around 6 months ago when it stopped working. I resorted to getting my fix from supermarkets and coffee shops. I decided to buy a new Keurig but did not need the fancy models with LCD screens and programmable interfaces. I just wanted coffee.

This has been ideal. I get my coffee quickly and quietly and this machine can use any kcups not just the official Keurig kcups (unlike the 2.0 range).

Again I am impressed. I hope this lasts me the next 5 years too.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks Great Pre DRM

Pros: This is a pre-drm coffee maker, so no worries using any kind of K cup you like.

Auto shutoff is key as this is being used in a small office, and its hard to train the inmates to clean up after themselves.

Cons: Refilling the water, which you do every day is a little clumsy if you pull the reservoir each time. Better to get a pitcher that you dedicate to refilling the water.

Other Thoughts: Bought this for use in a small office. Exactly what was needed, on sale, good price, if it lasts at least a year, weve got our money's worth. The other office options are commercial machines that are much more expensive.

5 out of 5 eggsGift

Pros: Great Keurig system, I bought this for my mother who has a tendency to break the glass coffee pots on normal coffee machines. The single serve cups make that something she does not have to worry about. Got a few of the reusable containers for her to use her ground coffee and it is been working like a camp!

Cons: Her only con about this is shes not a fan of the lights on it at night.

Other Thoughts: I would have to say for my 2nd Keurig I love the design and look of the machines I am happy to have one the first gen designs to allow for use with reusable cups.

1 out of 5 eggsPoor craftsmanship

Pros: Good coffee while it lasts.

Cons: Died after a couple of months. Keurig sent a replacement that was a lower cost model. That died in just 2 weeks. They sent another one. It's still working after a few days. I don't expect it to last long as it's the same K-40 model that died after only two weeks. Water was filtered tap water. Ony genuine K-cups were used. This is just sad.

Other Thoughts: These are not the high quality coffee makers that Keurig built their reputation on. The current crop of machines are just no good. Would never buy this brand again.
