This review is from: APEVIA Black SECC Steel / Aluminum X-MASTER-BK/500 ATX Media Center / HTPC Case

Pros:

Good form factor, narrow enough to fit my audio rack with enough clearance for good ventilation on each side. Seems sturdy enough for it's intended use (sitting on a shelf) Top & bottom pieces add stiffness & strength when fastened. Rear fans supplied are quiet . All needed hardware to mount my MATX were included. Instruction booklet was well written & clear in explanations. Case arrived well packed inside it's carton, no damage to report

Cons:

Two things:
The front LED is INSANELY too bright. Why would Apevia think that having this bright blue eye staring into your media room as a good thing? And yes I put a piece of black tape over it , but why should we have to do it at all? An easy fix, if they are listening to their customers (since I see this reported over & over in reviews).
The second - do away with the supplied PSU altogether & charge less for it. I never used it, because it felt so light & flimsy I just did not trust it. I had a Thermatake 500watt PSU that I used instead.

Overall Review:

I would HIGHLY recommend getting a modular type PSU to use with this case. I have an IDE dvd drive, one 80 GB SATA hdd, and a low power Athlon II sitting on a low end MSI mobo, and I had TONS of unused power connections I had to find room somehow inside the case. Also the front panel power & USB wires seem quite a bit too long & stiff, so again something else to have to find room for.
The front panel came off easily ,once you read the manual & learn how to do it correctly. I added a 120mm Silenx fan on one side for a bit more airflow
Very happy with the end results!
