Power-FILLED Board but DEACTIVATED???

Pros:
First of all this is my first "From-Scratch" build in 10 years...and well worth the wait! AMD 2600 is still running strong.
No problems or issues with installation. Everything I needed was including (but knew that before ordering this board). Didn't like the "grinding' sound when locking down the CPU, checked 6-7 times to make sure pins weren't being bent, but apparently its the sliding tabs that press down the CPU (metal on metal). The Corsair H5O (original version) worked perfectly using the LGA 1156 configuration. So much room left around this block, I'm sure it helps with cooling of SFC chokes and Dram sticks. The 1600 memory had to be setup in BIOS (Overclocking Menu) but knew this ahead of time.
Again no problems..nada..zilch.
Haven't tried to Overclock yet, still bug-eyed at the smooth operation of my system. Really surprised at the ease it all went together!!!! INCREDIBLE!
Cons:
No CONS on the board. Only my first NEWEGG CONS in 12 years. 1. Ordered Board Tuesday Night - received Monday Night (yes it was coast to coast) 3 day?
2. WHY IS STILL BOARD DEACTIVATED??? I would like to upgrade this board (to the GD65) if possible but its running so well I'd hate to tempt fate.
Enough venting.
Overall Review:
Had one scare, after assembling everything and powering on for the first time, I had NO power anywhere..not even LEDs. Press the Power button on the board!
4 SATA cables! Nice BLACK faceplate. Bios takes some getting use to.
Last note; I was going AMD x6 up to the last second when I was double checking what options I had for SLI. Thats when I found this board with both SLI or CROSSFIRE. Which led to my discovery of the I5 2500k then the Hyper Thread I7 2600k.
