Too Young to work in a Grown-ups world 06/26/2011
This review is from: ASUS RT-N56U Wireless Router Dual Band N600 Multimedia Ultra Slim Gigabit 802.11a/b/g/n support USB Storage, Print and Media Server
Pros:
Sleek design, Low temp, advanced tech level of options.
Printing support. USB throughput was decent
Cons:
Stuttered throughput when viewing web sites. Horrific throughput on WiFi. Range is ok but can not stream video. firmware v1.0.1.4 current as of 6/25/2011
Overall Review:
This router is just too buggy to be used at this time. Asus released firmware v1.0.1.5 but after 3 weeks they pulled it off of the support site. Asus is having problems figuring out how to make this router work smoothly and personally I wish they had held off on releasing it too soon. But alas in today's tech society it is always rush the product to market and then fix it in the field. Too bad they can not be held accountable for all of the time I have spent troubleshooting these bugs as network or tcp stack issues. So back on the shelf it goes till Asus has time to mature the firmware. I have since returned to using my Netgear WNR3500L.
