Trouble getting Intel native drivers to work with this M/B 02/06/2012
This review is from: Intel BOXDQ67EPB3 LGA 1155 Intel Q67 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Mini ITX Intel Motherboard
Pros:
2x USB 3.0
2x SATA 6.0 Gbps
2 DVI ports
Cons:
I have installed Win 7 x64 Ultimate w/o any problems. The strange thing is that Windows did not install any drivers for LAN or USB 3.0 and installed a generic SVGA driver for video. I have successfully updated the BIOS to the latest version (SWQ6710H.86A) and tried installing the drivers from supplied CD first. The process took over 10 minutes and failed. Then I tried installing MEI and drivers for LAN, USB 3.0, and HD Graphics from Intel web site. Automatic update failed as well. Manual install of MEI driver failed. LAN and USB 3.0 installed fine. At this point, Windows is stable, LAN and USB work fine. Any attempts to install Intel HD Graphics drivers for 2000/3000 result in a black screen and 'no video' message on the monitor right after the Windows logo during restart. I tried using both blue and white DVI ports to no avail. When I switch back to SVGA driver, everything works fine. I tried Intel support forums but I see they give generic script replies to everyone :-(
