Better than the Flex model 06/08/2012
This review is from: SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 6870 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card (100314-3L )
Pros:
AMD build
ASUS M4A78T-E board
OCZ 700 watt PSU
Runs quiet, smooth and slick. Newer games run highest settings perfectly. Be sure to update drivers with Device Manager as CDs usually never have the most up-to-date software.
It doesn't look as large as the Flex model, but it still is rather long. Make sure to have sufficient wiring and organized cords in your case or it might get a bit cramped.
I use two PCI-E cords provided with my PSU, so I don't know how well the card's power cords work.
I purchased a Flex model of this card a year ago that failed on me, so I would suggest this card over the Flex model for price reasons.
Cons:
-Battlefield Bad Company 2 gives me trouble (possibly a CPU issue)
-It doesn't generate too much heat, but I would suggest extra cooling if you plan to really stress the card (i.e. running high settings newest games for more than a few hours each session)
Overall Review:
Super Monday Night Combat time!
