This review is from: CORSAIR Vengeance 32GB (4 x 8GB) DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model CMZ32GX3M4A1600C9
Pros:
3 of the 4 sticks work fine but my motherboard is set up to run using 1, 2, or 4 sticks. So I will use 2 of the sticks that otherwise work perfectly fine just like they should.
Cons:
I bought package of Corsair memory to put into the desktop computer that I have been building with the help of a friend who has a lot higher degree of technical knowledge and lots more experience with building them. Point is that I want to learn more so I've had him guide me through the process. Had everything all set to go and turned it on. Nothing. One of the lights on my motherboard was flashing check memory. So I pulled out all the memory and started checking each stick one at a time and sure enough I was sent a bad stick. My only problem is because it's been longer then 30 days I can't return it so I have to buy a new memory stick to replace it.
Overall Review:
This really is the first problem I've had with New Egg and it won't stop me from buying more things from them, it just means I will be a lot more careful about what I'm choosing to buy from them. Using 2 of the 4 sticks works just fine but it means my computer won't run at top of the line like I wanted it to.
Manufacturer Response:
Dear Mn,
We're sorry for the inconvenience, please fill out an RMA request at http://www.corsair.com/en/support/ and we would be happy to replace the memory kit for you.
Thank you,
