this is in response to Vantec's answer
I emailed a support request on 9/23/2012 to support @vantectw.com via their website support. no answer
I also found no place in my bios to exclude their device from booting, and their device blocked everything else

Overall Review:

I am pretty annoyed at what I think was a flip response.
