This review is from: AMD FX-8350 Black Edition Vishera 8-Core 4.0 GHz (4.2 GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 125W FD8350FRHKBOX Desktop Processor
Pros:
I had a 965 black at 4.2ghz running ProE Wildfire and Solid Works. I am one of the few who use their computer for work. I dropped this into my Gigabyte Ud3 board and clocked it at 4.6ghz with the h80 cooler I had on my 965 earlier. Rendering times a nearly cut in half. About 70% to 80% faster.
Cons:
Overclocked, it consumes about 70 more watts than the Intel i7. So I went and changed the 100 watt bulb in my desk lamp to a 20 watt florescent bulb. There, I solved the problem.
Overall Review:
Considering how cheep the motherboards and this chip is, it makes and excellent combo for a workstation computer. Keeps up with my buddy's 2600k which is at 4.2 ghz. I highly recommend this for people who do actual work on their computer.
