Never too late to upgrade. 11/29/2012
This review is from: Microsoft Windows 7 Professional SP1 64-bit
Pros:
More SSD compatible. Easily configured. Not Windows 8. Lots of native tweakability.
Cons:
Not a lot of stock gadgets and weather gadget is worthless - it's 9 degrees off the actual temp reported by other weather centers and my own equipment. Health & Safety inspired Program Execution Preventer is annoying to say the least. Here's an OS, but Dog help you if you actually try to do anything with it. I know that for some users "traction control" is the only way they can drive, but give the rest of us our due.
Overall Review:
I dragged my heels upgrading from XP until Windows 8 came out and then moved to Windows 7. I am one of those that believes that every other version of Windows has a lot of issues (I started with Windows 3.0). Once I turned off the Health & Safety inspired Program Execution Preventer - things ran much more smoothly.
