Pros:
I have way less than 1 TB of data to back up, so it's more than enough.
Cons:
I have a USB 2.0 system. (I tend to buy USB 3.0 with the thought that my next system should be higher end.) It manages maybe 7 MB/s throughput. However, there are a lot of small files in these backups. Also, I run my backups overnight anyway. Still, not fast on USB 3.0.
