Pros:
For this price range these speakers are excellent. The mid and high range out of the satellite speakers are clear and more impressive than I was expecting. Also, this is the only speaker system with a 6.5 inch subwoofer cone in this price range. The other brands use 5.25 inch cones, which need more excursion to move the same amount of air. With less movement, the larger subwoofer cone has less distortion. I replaced a failing 2.1 speaker system that had a 5.25 inch subwoofer and this is noticeably better. There is less distortion at higher power settings than the old system. But, remember, you have to keep your expectations reasonable. This is a powerful system, but don't expect the kind of bass response you'd get out of an 8, 10, or 12 inch subwoofer. Finally, the desktop control for the bass and volume is pretty nice.
Cons:
Really, at this price, there is no downside. It is solid at all frequencies . . . the sound is quite clear and accurate. It also gets pretty loud, if you want that. Just keep your expectations reasonable and you'll be very happy.
Overall Review:
It's about 30 watts RMS total.
Bottom line is this it's simply a great value. I think only the unreasonably picky or the delusional will be dissatisfied.
