Pros:
I have this motherboard setup with two L5520's, and 48GB of memory. 8 hard drives later, and it's the basis for my ZFS FREENAS fileserver. Amazingly fast. Zero issues with setup, and it's rock solid.
Deduplication and high file compression work wonderfully.
Cons:
250W sustained is a bit much for a file server at home, but... well worth it for the extra performance.
