Great Basic Laptop

Pros:
Good material/construction at such a low price; the refurbished unit appears new; pretty snappy performance for basic computing (web surfing, document, etc); pretty cool and quiet; light for a 15" laptop; click pad works well; decent speakers
Cons:
Not Asus's fault, but Win 8 sucks bad--I reverted to W7; upgrading is a little more time-consumingt (you have to remove the keyboar/mouse pad panel to gain access to the HDD (I upgraded to a SSD); only 1 RAM slot (also difficult to access); could use one more USB port; no Recovery Disc creation software installed.
