This review is from: IOGEAR GBU521 USB Bluetooth 4.0 Micro Adapter
Pros:
It'll work just fine... for a while... under very simple use cases...
Cons:
Bought 2. First one died after a few months. Second one might have just died. Both were very inconsistent. Range wasn't what I had hoped, but was acceptable... the problem was that going out of range even momentarially would cause absurd lag that would then persist until you disconnected and reconnected. Devices that could send input to the computer were similarly affected by the lag, often spamming keypresses and making a mess of things.
Huge pain trying to disconnect a device temporarially (like if you want to pair your headset with a laptop instead of your desktop). That's what I'm fighting with right now... trying to figure out if the second adapter finally died or if it is just being stupid again.
To cover all my bases: I had two adapters, 2 computers, 4 pairable devices, many different USB ports, tried a few driver versions. Be it poor manufacturing or just terrible design, this is a junk product.
