This review is from: EVGA 02G-P4-2660-RX GeForce GTX 660 2GB 192-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card Manufactured Recertified
Pros:
Fantastic card. Ranks between a GTX 570 and GTX 580 in performance. Uses 100 watts less power than a GTX 570. Very quiet compared to a GTX 570. Runs 30 degrees C cooler than the 570 it replaced. 2GB VRAM compared to GTX 570 w/1.25GB. Plays BF4 on high on my son's computer. His computer is CPU limited however (Phenom II 940 running at near 100% in multiplayer all the time!)
Cons:
I instinctively shook the card in my hand as soon as I took it out of the plain jane EVGA box. My heart sank to the floor when i could hear something rattleing around in the card. I figured I got a dud!!!. I noticed one of the securing nuts on either side of one of the DVI connectors was missing. I was able to eventually gently shake it out of the card and screw it back on. Card works flawlessly but EVGA refurb techs should have secured that nut tighly on. It could have ruined the card.
Overall Review:
This card is for a backup gaming computer I am building so my son can have a Lan party at our house to play BF4 with a friend. I took a chance on a refurb and got lucky. If only my own GTX 780 would run as stable as this card !!
