This review is from: XFX One Radeon HD 5450 512MB DDR3 PCI Express 2.1 x16 Low Profile Ready Video Card ON-XFX1-STD2
Pros:
Dell/Windows 7 32bit (this card is recommended by Dell directly)
Worked out of the gate. Solid construction.. Quality connectors and Y cable. Uses DVI to VGA adapters but once iit's put together it was like a single cable. It took care of our (biz) dual monitor needs with the driver installed only. The Catalyst software was not required (or I haven't realized I need it yet). In fact we skipped it as it needed some .NET updates and we were in a rush.. Windows 7 dual monitor utility did everything we needed. The outputs were 2xDVI, 2xVGA with adapters and 1xHDMI. Couldnt's ask for more at that price.
Cons:
When you switch to the low profile bracket, the you will need a open case-slot next to the video card to put in the filler plate with it's video output (which one escapes me now)l. This really needs to happen because there is just not enough room for all the connectors on one sort bracket. Not a strike against this card at all. Just physics.
Overall Review:
Multiple monitors are the way to go, over one LARGE monitor (in our business). We wondered why we waited so long. The computer is so much more useful with all the apps we need to run at one time The price ROCKS.. Especially with such a house hold name brand
