Cooler Master HAF Stacker 935 Two-Piece Mod-Tower Computer Case with Top Compartment for Extra Storage Space, Water Cooling Support, or Mini-ITX System
  • Steel / Plastic
  • USB 3.0 x 2, USB x 2, Audio Front Ports
  • 3 + 1 (915R) External 5.25" Drive Bays
  • 9 (3 x modular cage) Internal 3.5" Drive Bays

Pros:

Can fit a lot on it. In fact a child could probably sleep in it, it's that large. I have 8 3.5 HDDs, 14 SSDs (in 3 6-to-1x5.25" cage), fan controller taking 1x5.25 bay, full size DVD and 9 fans. With still space for more storage... I had to reverse the two units from the way they ship so the smaller bit is at the bottom to make the cabling work. Not hard to do and it's still stable that way round. The SSDs are all contained in the middle of the smaller unit using a simple custom mount. Air flow with all those fans is excellent. The (spinning) disks and E3 Xeon v3 barely get warm.

Cons:

I've dropped one egg for minor reasons. It's certainly not as strong as something like the CM690 I've used several times before. Also the cover plate for the small unit where a motherboard panel would go just doesn't stay in place. Had to tape it in the end to keep it from pinging out. I would also have like the option to not have the clear side panel and put a fan there instead - I'm using this for a virtualization server out of sight, so looks weren't particularly important. I just needed something with the space for all the storage and associated RAID controller/SAS expander/cabling. I also would have liked the ability to fit a larger front fan in the smaller unit. The screws holding the case sides on must have been done up in the factory by someone training for an Iron Man. Incredibly tight. One ended up with a stripped thread after finally making it budge.
