Works decent for an inexpensive fan controller 02/26/2014
This review is from: 5.25" Touch Screen Fan Controller
Pros:
It works. It powers the fans all 5 of them.
The display can be disabled and settings are saved on reboot.
Able to independently set fans speed manually.
The manual is available online to view as well.
Cons:
The lowest it will run my fans is at 40% speed, but they are high CFM fans, so they are still rather loud.
Temp probes are placed next to internal probes on Mobo. Reading on the display is ≈20ºF off of the internal sensors.
Display is hard to read. The LED is semi-lighted for all portions. To read what the actual display is I have to be on level with it. Then it is very clear.
Manual/Auto is not able to be set on a per fan basis. All or nothing.
The manual is really basic with minimal instructions on setup.
Overall Review:
I needed a cheap fan controller that did not have knobs for little kids to gain an interest in.
Overall it is still louder than having my BIOS control the fan speeds. I may need to invest in a better controller.
