This review is from: Thermaltake Toughpower XT TPX-1475M 1475 W ATX 12V 2.3 & SSI EPS 12V 2.92 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply
Pros:
Great voltage regulation and low line noise.
Cons:
Unit failed to sustain a system load of more than 1260 watts; 215 watts short of its claimed 24/7, 7 year guarantee rating after 1 week of use. Internal protection circuitry tripped every time, verified by Kill-a-Watt meter (assuming 88% efficient).
Computer is mining with 4x 290 (non-X) XFX Black cards with undervolted, optimized bioses.
Sounds like if yours works @ 100% rated then its probably the exception rather than the standard. I wouldn't pay more for this (1475w) or the 1375w unit than a 1200w eVga, LEPA or CoolerMaster; since Thermaltake seems to be unreliable at over 1200w anyways and those other 3 have proven 100% reliable, even at extreme loads.
