Disappointed but hopeful!

Pros:
Great bang for the buck when I purchased at xmas on sale. Easy install. Not an SSD but good for a first time budget build.
Cons:
Drive failed during Windows 7 installation portion of gaming rig build. Initial hardware checks were fine until loading the operating system. After 3 failed attempts to load windows and some troubleshooting it came down to the hard drive. Over the course of a few hours the MB would not POST without errors while the HDD was plugged in. Tested with another drive and it that one worked fine.
Overall Review:
I bought this at xmas 2013 along with some other pieces towards a first gaming rig for my 14 year old son. We finally managed to get all the parts together and completed the hardware build on 2-27-14. On 2-28-14 we planned to finish up but fell short with the HDD failure. Since I bought this at xmas it is beyond the Newegg return policy. Hopefully the RMA with WD goes smooth and the replacement is good to go.
