This review is from: Xigmatek MIDGARD II CCC-AM36BS-U01 Black Steel + Aluminum and Aluminum Mesh Bezel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
Pros:
Removable drive cage is a plus. Side panels are reasonably sturdy, not prone to 'flexing'. External drive "Hot plug" is nice feature. Clean visual esthetics. Ventilation is balanced. Vibration mounting pads for PSU are benificial. Case fan noise is relatively low. Close out price due to new model being introduced was a plus. Uniform black interior.
Cons:
Unacceptable that top mounting holes for 120mm fans are mis-aligned preventing fan mounting without drilling new holes. Cougar 120mm fans mounted perfectly in front and bottom. Use of bottom 120mm fan mountings, complicate cable managment into my modular PSU. Tabs on removable drive mounts break easily if your not careful. Cable routing space behind the motherboard tray could be 5mm wider. A few more well placed cable tie mounts would be an improvement. Same flimsy dust filters as some other cases.
Overall Review:
I consider my CM-690 2-advanced case superior to the Xigmatec case due to the fan mounting issues. If the model 3 fixes this problem, it's probably a draw.
