Good, But Lacking In Clarity. 05/31/2014
This review is from: Creative GigaWorks T40 Series II 2.0 Multimedia Speaker System with BasXPort Technology, Black
Pros:
They look nice, have a small footprint, powerful sound, and great bass for such a small set of speakers. Clarity could be a bit better, but still a great set of speakers and I did ultimately pack my old speakers up and put them in my closet to keep these on my desk.
Cons:
Compared side by side with my 15 year old Boston 2.1 set that I got with a Gateway computer, the sound clarity was a little lacking. Everything seems to be a little muffled ad some of the tones are meshed together. I was really quite shocked that my old Boston speakers sound less muffled even if you take the bass all the way down to try to compensate for the difference of the 2.0 vs. 2.1 system.
Overall Review:
A friend of a friend had brought a set of these speakers to a BBQ on a deck in Chicago to play music from a phone. I thought they sounded really nice and they were so loud they drew noise complaints from the neighbors. That's what got me interested in these speakers.
