Pros:
They seem to die within the initial warranty period...so I guess that could be considered a good thing???
Cons:
This is a follow-up to my previous review 6-11-2014; all 3 of these drives have died on me now...
100% failure rate...3 out of 3 dead after just over a year...
Overall Review:
Seems Seagate has switched to a 1YR warranty, probably because they were replacing too many under the 2YR warranty...which was previously a 3YR warranty just a few years ago...
Also, I could not find ANY warranty statement on Seagate's site. The only thing I found was a statement "Check product packaging for warranty info"...so apparently they expect you to purchase first and then find out it only has a 1YR warranty...pretty slick...also OEM drives ship in a plain ESD bag, so...WHAT PRODUCT PACKAGING???
