4 out of 5 eggs Great wireless headset for gaming and music 07/11/2014

This review is from: Corsair Vengeance 2100 Circumaural Wireless Dolby 7.1 Gaming Headset

Pros:

Bought myself a pair of these after going through 3 Turtlebeach X12's and I really enjoy them. The build feels sturdy, fast driver installation, ability to use while charging and good battery life. i mainly play BF4 and this with Wartape audio and Surround is amazing. Will try other games with it as well. The drivers for the headset has a little control panel to adjust settings, preset profiles such as "Audiophile, FPS, and MMO" and I thought that was neat as well. I get pretty good range with these headphones. My room is downstairs and I have a pretty good amount of stairs to climb. Perfect signal within close proximity towards my room. so I can listen to podcasts while I cook or something with no drops at all. I've been wearing these for a few hours now and is still pretty comfortable. Doesn't get as hot or sweaty as my previous X12's got.

Cons:

The mic that comes with it is disappointing. It gets in the way sometimes when re-positioning these on your head, so in the end I wish it was retractable. Buy yourself a blue snowball if you want quality voice audio. Otherwise, it suffices for voip.

Overall Review:

I have to say, making the leap from my X12's to the 2100's was well worth it IMO. Much better sound quality, but not audiophile like sound. Get some Sennheisers if you don't mind wired headphones. As wireless ones, they're great.
