This review is from: DEEPCOOL Multi Core X6 Laptop Cooling Pad 15.6" Metal Mesh Panel 2*100MM and 2*140mm Fans
Pros:
Quiet
Firm Design
Perfect Fit
Cons:
Fan Speed Switch (Feels cheap)
Personal Con: I have one USB 2.0 slot on the left side of my laptop which holds my USB Receiver for my mouse. I have two USB 3.0 slots on the right side of my laptop, where I have it plugged in. I've used several cooling pads before, this is the first cooling pad I've used that doesn't have the cord built into the pad. Just a Personal Con.
Overall Review:
Starting with opening the box, time and money was spent into the box itself, it had semi-soft styrofoam packing (Don't know the actual name for it) as well as wrapped in plastic. It comes with the Pad, the USB to USB connector, instructions (Yes, really) and two rubber pads. I purchased this pad primarily because of the fan placement. Instead of trying to locate a pad that had its fans near my intake/exhaust ports, why not buy one that just covers the entire bottom of the computer.
I have 4 options for the fans, Off, 2x100mm, 2x 140mm, Both. It's not super loud with all 4 fans running. The switch to select between those though seems flimsy to me. Like I could break it if I wasn't paying attention and slid it too hard.
It does have a USB Port on the pad, which does make up that it takes up a port on my laptop. My laptop (rubber feet) feels like it really holds onto the mesh top of the pad. Doesn't slide around ever if I try. All in all, a very excellent product.
