This review is from: ASRock FM2A88X-ITX+ FM2+ / FM2 AMD A88X (Bolton D4) SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 HDMI Mini ITX AMD Motherboard
Pros:
Plenty of external hookups for whatever need you might have.
PCIE or mSATA
Good layout around APU
BIOS features and self-update
Can run high speed memory
Cons:
-Was not able to run my Gskill Ripjaws Z 2400 2x4G memory (F3-2400C10D-8GZH) at rated speeds. BIOS loads XMP profile fine, and runs memory at 2133 speeds fine, but not 2400.
- Only one USB3 header for those who care
Overall Review:
Using this board for HTPC computer than can later be used as mini-desktop if need be. I didn't have a use for wifi module since I planned on mSATA. Assembly and installation of this board and APU has been painless and straightforward. Now, memory was a bit of chore since it refused to run at 2400 speeds.
BIOS has good features for overclocking, however I would caution against it since this board may not provide enough power regulation to run overclocks stable. Also, this board has smaller footprint so heating up will be a problem with heat dissipation. I would say that good overclock for APU might quite be possible with closed liquid cooler.
Running A8-7600 on this board and so far so good.
