BOX WAS OPENED previously - The box has clearly been opened previously. The 2 Acer sticks that keep thier box sealed had been cut and new stickers placed over the top.

Very difficult to upgrade. While it is possible to access the hard drives and RAM, it is very difficult compared to many laptops. I do plan on upgrading to 16gb DIMMS at some point but won't be in a rush due to the difficult of getting to the RAM.

Overall Review:

I've had this laptop for 2 days and so far I'm happy with it. I'm moving to this from a Dell XPS 1645 with a first gen i7. It sounded like a jet and felt like a nuclear reactor in my lap.

I was looking for a laptop that had gaming internals but didn't look like a monster gaming laptop. This fits the bill.

It's very thing is looks professions but has the power to play games if needed. I was trying to pick between this and the MSI GS70 Stealth.

The exterior is very pleasing to looking at. The screen it just as nice

Out of the box Windows has a bunch of Acer's bloat on it. First thing I did was load my own Windows image and setup a Ubuntu Dual boot.

Currently I have the 240gb SSD slit 160gb/80gb between Windows and Ubuntu respectively. The 1tb drives is split down the middle.

It's been almost 10 years since I've owned an Acer computer. I was little sheepish about getting on. However, I'm very happy I did. I've had a few random questions since getting the machine. I hopped on their live chat and got quality answers within a few minutes. I was extremely impress.

I have only had it for 2 days so my views may change. I have not had a chance to play any games yet but I'm sure it will do good. I'm not expecting to shelf perrformance If that happens I will update my review. However, as of now I suggest getting this laptop.

If you are looking for a sleek laptop with lots of horsepower pull the trigger on this. I think Acer has the perfect laptop here.

A note for Ubunut Users: The trackpad did not work out of the box. I had to install the newest mainline kernel before it would work.
