Good card 11/28/2014
This review is from: GIGABYTE Radeon HD 7970 GHz Edition 3GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 CrossFireX Support Video Card GV-R797TO-3GD
Pros:
Good performance for price.
Good cooling ability and stable temperature under load.
Looks nice?
Drivers can recover unlike Nvidia ones, if you do something stupid there's a chance you'll just have to close what you're doing and start over... unlike Nvidia where a crashed driver = BSOD.
Cons:
Had a bearing failure a few months into owning it, had to RMA through Gigabyte which was rather annoying... However card came back noise free...
Overall Review:
If the fan fails again I'm just getting an aftermarket cooler, never had an issue with Gigabyte as a whole... but the second fan is making an odd noise at load.
Only experienced two bsods after moving to this card from Nvidia garbage. Both accounts were from me screwing with settings and overloading the driver.
