This review is from: ASUS GeForce GTX 970 4GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 SLI Support G-SYNC Support Video Card STRIX-GTX970-DC2OC-4GD5
Pros:
- Mine, OUT OF THE BOX runs at a SOLID 1342 Mhz core clock
- Cooling is rather good, idles at a cool ~35C. I've only reached 55C tops on hard gaming
- SUPER quiet
- No fancy LEDs to conflict with my color scheme
- Rock solid backplate
- Overclocks better than I expected, had little hopes due to the single 8 pin PCI-E
Cons:
- Card does sag quite a bit due to it's massive size and weight
- Has a RIDICULOUSLY bright power LED on the backplate
- Ignores fan presets set by Afterburner (might just be my card)
Overall Review:
It took to a pretty good OC of 1450 core clock and only 4020 memory
I can't get this card to ignore it's no spin setting with custom fan profiles, may just be my card. But I've also noticed the MAX fan speed on this card is only 42%.
didn't have to adjust ANY voltage, but when I did the temps SKYROCKETED close to ~70
the card sag is to be expected, but since the card is so huge I don't plan on moving to SLI any time soon, I believe it is a 2.25 slot design.
But overall I truly recommend this card, was way more than I was expecting.
