3 out of 5 eggs Good quality card but it needs some love from its parents 08/18/2015

This review is from: SAPPHIRE Radeon R9 290X 4GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 Tri-X OC(UEFI) Video Card, New Edition 100361-4L

Pros:

Great video quality when gaming
Quiet (it's quieter than a church mouse while running BF4 at highest settings, i love it)

Cons:

Eyefinity setup that flickers across all three screens. Tried multiple drivers, in all instances the screens flicker across the board. Resolve: Disable two of three monitors, then re-enable. It is so common, I have a macro key bind for the Catalyst Control Center profile to disable and enable the monitors.
It fails to enable one of my three monitors from time to time, which prompted me to write this review. Two are connected with DVI-D and one is connected with DP cable.

Overall Review:

I've read reviews about how bad AMD drivers were for their Radeon series but I still bit the bullet on this card on a sale. Terrible decision. My MSI GTX 660 was good enough, no headaches, I should have stuck with it but I wanted more and this card on sale drew me in.
HOT! This think kicks out heat in my Cooler Master HAF XB case. *My GTX 660 also kicked out a lot of heat from this case so it's not so much a con.
Needless to say, I will think long and hard about getting another AMD card. I was planning to go the Fury route down the line but after this fiasco...
I'll tough it out and hopefully come out stronger, faster, wiser on the other side.
