Worse than Molex; not worth the bleeding. 10/15/2015
This review is from: RAIDMAX HYBRID 2 RX-630SS 630W ATX12V V2.2/ EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Modular Power Supply, New Version with Build-in LED Fan On/Off Switch
Pros:
I wouldn't know, since I never got it connected to anything.
Cons:
I've had easier time with Molex connectors. A friend purchased this for a system build I'm doing for him. I thought "hey, good price, decent reviews, modular, what could go wrong?"
The connectors. The connectors went wrong. I tried every SATA power cable on every connector on the PSU itself, and not a single one went in smoothly.
I tried multiple connectors both sides... didn't work.
I tried wiggling one in, including shifting the cables on the back like you sometimes have to do with poorly built Molex... didn't work.
I tried using a little bit of extra elbow grease, since it looked like the connectors made nice tight connections... oops! Pushed the connectors out the back of the cable AND cut up my fingers! Just like Molex, but with extra injury!
I'm having my friend return this, and using my spare Cooler Master V550 on this build. This is either poor QA or poor design - either way, I no longer have confidence in this brand. An extremely poor first impression.
Overall Review:
Quite frankly, I'm glad I wasn't the one who spent the money on this.
