This review is from: RAIDMAX RX-9 GT ATX-911WB Black Aluminum ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros:

Looks like darth vader. Most of my coworkers had to comment on it the few days it was up on my testbench.
Aluminum is nice and light.

combined with antec truepower2, i was able to route all cables underneath motherboard backpane, and hidden alongside drive cages. rolled edge of backpane makes good cable hidey/routing space.

dual 7800gt's in SLI setup worked just fine, with plenty of airflow/room to spare. side fan blew in the right spot to keep them cool.

the 3.5" and 5.25" cages are super tight, so you'll have to stagger your drives. i WOULD NOT run a full lower drive cage. things would heat up way too much. same thing with the 5.25 cage, i staggered dual dvd burners so they wouldnt die prematurely.

Cons:

all devices are a tight fit. hdds got pretty scraped up getting them lined up correctly. had to remove faceplate from floppy to get drive out of system.

lcd never worked, rma'ing now. lcd has 3 pin connectors for all fans (case, vga, hdd) but the fans it includes have 4 pin molex, other than the side fan, which has a very short 3 pin lead.

beware using sata hdds in the lower hdd rails in this system, case side just barely squeaks by them.

the tool-less retention clips for drives and cards (vga/usb ports) arent trustworthy, make sure you screw down all peripheral cards.

Overall Review:

overall this was a pretty junky case. i used to use standard (nonfancy) raidmax cases a lot, then finally started doing all system builds with antec cases. the quality of this case is pretty poor, but no less poor than other raidmax cases, if you're ok with that.

for the money, look into higher quality cases, even aluminum ones. the neat car/darth vader isnt worth the inferior quality, especially for this money.
