Pros:

The Trion 150 is the latest budget SSD from OCZ and update to the Trion 100 which was sub-par when introduced.
The Trion 150 includes A19 15nm TLC NAND flash and Toshiba TC58 Controller that appears to be a modified Phison S10.

Standard 7mm Z-height, firmware is current.

It's very fast, includes SMART although very minimal spec wise plus the three year OCZ's ShieldPlus rapid-exchange warranty coverage.
Unlike the ARC100 it does have a temperature probe which is handy if you like to monitor stats.

That said the Trion 150 without any airflow was only showing around 68F which is excellent.

Price, it's one of the most affordable SSD's currently per competition in this segment.

It does support DEVsleep so this drive would be excellent for laptops.

The drive itself is very light compared to the ARC and Vector 180, again very handy for a laptop.

Iometer, this drive actually beats the 850 Pro on reads, sadly writes are on the lower side compared to the competition.

OCZ's SSD Guru is a nice minimalist program to check firmware, stats, SMART, secure erase and a few other benefits.

Cons:

To cut cost the drive case feels cheap and not as robust as other OCZ models.
It's also made in China to cut cost as well.

Overall Review:

Unlike the Vector 180 this drive does include a PCB which has indents for securing SATAIII cables.

Benches.

I was hoping for better performance with the Marvell controller but since the Marvell driver has not been updated in a few years this was expected.

Too soon to say about longevity but the 27GB a day is very robust and very unlikely to even come close to that number on a home computer.

The 120GB version states 30TB total over 3 years.

For the very reasonable price this SSD is quick but still falls short of the high mark which is the 850 EVO.

This drive which is marketed as a budget SSD does hold it's own but obviously won't compete with drive twice it's price nor is it really intended to.

What this drive will do is replace any HDD and make a system old or new much faster while saving power and heat.

This model is excellent for it's market, tier and price category.

OCZ does appear to care about customer support both with their warranty and if you have issues getting in touch with them.

I like companies that stand behind their products after the sale.

Last note, as of now the price difference between the 240 and 120 is very minimal and I would highly recommend for the higher writes the 240GB and above models.
The 240GB also offers 60TBW vs 30.

120GB after OS, programs and games does not really cut it today unless you run a bare minimal system.
