This review is from: Corsair Gaming K70 RGB Mechanical Gaming Keyboard - Cherry MX Brown
Pros:
-High quality feel
-Excellent lighting
-Software is very user friendly and useful, which many options and preset effects and ways to make your own effects.
-Has device memory
Cons:
-A little expensive for what you get (I bought mine at about $170).
-If you install a default profile onto the keyboard that has special lighting effects (wave, keypress ripple effects, etc.), then the device WILL NOT have ANY lights until you login and the software is loaded in Windows. HOWEVER, if you have static lighting set as the default profile saved to the device memory, it will work just fine. Not sure why this is.
-Also noticed some issues at bootup where typing or pressing keys before Windows loads (e.g. going into UEFI settings or doing something else outside of Windows, EVEN ON BIOS MODE), the keyboard brightness changes with every keystroke as if you're pressing the brightness key. Strange.
Overall Review:
When I first received mine, the volume wheel seemed a bit stiff. I thought it was odd and definitely seemed stiffer than my liking, but later, while using, I pushed it down a little which clicked it back into place (I guess?) which made it smooth and easy to use. Maybe it came out of it's wheel thing in shipping?
You can download and install profiles easily.
