5 out of 5 eggs Great 8-Port PoE Switch 08/28/2016

This review is from: NETGEAR 8-Port Gigabit Ethernet Unmanaged Switch, 4xPoE (GS308P)

Pros:

This is a fine quality PoE switch. The build quality is excellent with a nice steel case. Power is handled with a power brick with a long cord so the unit runs very cool. The power brick also runs very cool so I'm assuming it's has well designed cool-running electronics. The four PoE ports work great and supplied power, in my case, 2 CCTV cameras.

Other features include the standard LEDs on each port. There is one for the non-powered ports and two for the PoE ports. The unit also comes with wall mounting hardware.

There's not a whole lot you can say about a switch but as far as this one, if you need an 8-port PoE switch, I would recommend this one.

Cons:

No cons that could see except possibly that I prefer more ports.

Overall Review:

Just a FYI... I used this unit connected to a 24 port switch and it worked fine. I have my main switch near the router and then I ran a line to the upstairs area and installed this switch there. From this point I ran the lines out to the two cameras. Worked perfectly.
