Good product, not so great customer service. Avoid 7/4/2016 US firmware. 09/21/2016
This review is from: TP-Link Archer C3200 AC3200 Wireless Tri-Band Gigabit Router
Pros:
The router itself is great. Good range and reliable signal. Previous unit would drop the 2.4 GHz band unless the bandwidth was set to 20 MHz, however the replacement I received does not have this issue.
Cons:
Latest firmware (7/4/2016) bricks the device. Customer service leaves a lot to be desired; was initially told that I voided my warranty by updating the firmware (ludicrous seeing as how it's their firmware), however I was able to open a ticket on their support site and receive a RMA.
Overall Review:
RMA process took about a month and cost me $37 to ship it to them, which admittedly was my fault that it cost that much since I opted for the "Standard Service" rather than the "Advanced Service", the latter which costs $12.99 and comes with a pre-printed return label. Still feel like it should cost nothing since it's their fault for posting faulty firmware, but at least they sent a new and not refurbished unit.
Review would have been a 5/5 if not for the firmware issue and the frustration of dealing with their customer service over the phone.
