Impressively good

Fellowes 4601001 Powershred 73Ci Light-Duty Cross-Cut Shredder
Fellowes 4601001 Powershred 73Ci Light-Duty Cross-Cut Shredder

Pros: Newegg, the box says it's heavy duty. Anything rated for 12 sheets at a time (and prefers to get 6) and 10 minutes of "continuous shredding" is NOT "Light-Duty". Even the box really undersells it. I didn't notice the casters, which is really handy because the top is pretty heavy. "Maximum Run Time (minutes) 10 min" my Aunt Fanny Jane. It's not a 10-minute timer but a temperature sensor. And I was able to shred for 20 minutes as fast as I could without tripping it or causing a hot smell. Partly because my papers were loose and piled haphazardly, so it was hard to keep it fed more than 70 percent of the time. Partly because the bin (6 gallons?) filled every 2-3 minutes, so I had to stop to empty it, and the instructions say to oil it when you empty the bin. Maybe if I had a team of 3 people and straightened piles of paper I could overheat it. As it was, I wore out before it did. This is a great shredder.

Cons: Not really as to say LOUD, but not quiet. If I were to do a few sheets of shredding in a shared office, I'd first look around to see if anyone was on a phone call, but I wouldn't bother to ask permission first. But if I had more substantial shredding, I'd ask first or do it at lunch. The provided bags aren't a great fit for the bin, Also, some chaff got everywhere anyway - it might have been better without the bag.

Caveats

Pros: Presumably protects under other people's circumstances. I did get a slight scratch on the screen without it.

Cons: Find the installation videos on zagg.com and watch them BEFORE applying. I didn't, so my first installation was very frustrating. The shield is not, in fact, invisible. The covered screen is pixellated and grainy, when I saw no pixellation on the original screen. I carry my phone in my pocket. Just sliding it in and out gets rid of any smudges. Within a couple of weeks, one corner of the InvisibleShield came slightly loose, stuck to the cloth in my pocket, and folded back. Lint covered over a third of the adhesive side of the InvisibleShield, making it useless. I got one replacement (with inevitable delay and a small fee), but the same thing happened faster, and by then, the 45 day money-back guarantee period had passed.

Overall Review: IF you don't mind the pixellation, and IF you don't carry it in a place where it's likely to rub up against anything (perhaps a purse?), then this may be a reasonable product for you.

Works fine

Samsung 128GB EVO microSDXC UHS-I/U3 Memory Card with Adapter, Speed Up to 100MB/s (MB-MP128GA/AM)

Pros: I got this for my camera to hold a lot of pictures during an extended trip. It apparently works and has lots of room.

Cons: I don't know of any cons.

Very good flashlight

NEBO Slyde King, Rechargeable Work Light and Flashlight #6434
NEBO Slyde King, Rechargeable Work Light and Flashlight #6434

Pros: For me, the best feature is that it's rechargeable. It feels solid, though I haven't tried dropping it to test it. It has a good bright beam that lasts long enough for my use (at least an hour so far). I don't want the magnetic base, but it's pretty strong; I removed it and the flashlight is fine, but then it's not really feasible to try to stand it on that end, because what's under it is narrower. I don't use the work light bar thing on the side, but it's pretty bright too.

Cons: The one flaw I see is that there's no way to attach a lanyard.

Overall Review: Not only *would* I buy it again, I did: I bought one at another place, and when I needed another flashlight, I came here to get it.

Has worked fine for about a year

Acer G276HLDbd Black 27" 6ms (GTG) Widescreen LED Monitor 300 cd/m2 ACM 100,000,000:1 (3000:1)
Acer G276HLDbd Black 27" 6ms (GTG) Widescreen LED Monitor 300 cd/m2 ACM 100,000,000:1 (3000:1)

Pros: What can I say? I don't know about details of monitors, so maybe the color balance is lousy or something, for all I know. But it seems to work fine for my purposes (office work), and I've had it almost a year.

Cons: I want one monitor profile, one landscape. I had to buy a separate stand because the monitor stand provided does not rotate 90 degrees.

Well, it's big enough for me

Seagate Backup Plus 1TB 2.5" USB 3.0 Red Portable Hard
Seagate Backup Plus 1TB 2.5" USB 3.0 Red Portable Hard

Pros: I have way less than 1 TB of data to back up, so it's more than enough.

Cons: I have a USB 2.0 system. (I tend to buy USB 3.0 with the thought that my next system should be higher end.) It manages maybe 7 MB/s throughput. However, there are a lot of small files in these backups. Also, I run my backups overnight anyway. Still, not fast on USB 3.0.

The refund was great, but I'd rather have a phone case

They listed a phone case as "In stock". I ordered it. A day later, they emailed me saying that it was out of stock. I ordered it in a different color. They say they shipped it. The US Postal Service is contradictory on that. When I called after 3 weeks, they has no more of the second color either. They cancelled the order and refunded my money immediately, which is great, especially because it wasn't clear that it was their fault. That is excellent customer service. But I am peeved that they listed something as in-stock when it wasn't, and that it's been a month since I started this and my phone is still vulnerable to being dropped.
