SAMSUNG Chromebook 1.70GHz 2GB Memory 16 GB SSD 11.6" Google Chrome OS XE303C12-A01US
SAMSUNG Chromebook 1.70GHz 2GB Memory 16 GB SSD 11.6" Google Chrome OS XE303C12-A01US

Pros: Fast, Small (or slim I should say) does exactly what I need it to do. I pondered what kind of laptop to get myself for the longest and with so many on the market that are only appealing for the bells and whistles; I had to narrow down exactly what I wanted the laptop for and how much I would be willing to spend on it. All i really wanted was something that could get me on any wifi network I have access to, could handle all my internet based tasks as well as office/offline work, had storage for any other data I needed to transfer and allowed me to have basic productivity at my fingertips on the go. Didn't want a full-blown laptop with power that wouldn't be necessary seeing as how if I need anything intense I can just use the desktops I build. Just wanted to access spreadsheets and emails and autotask with a nice sized screen and a bit of mobile pc power. So to sum this up, the Chromebook was just a no-brainer buy for me (once my brain wrapped around it's usefulness). I've always loved the chrome browser and I use it on my main PC, my iphone, and both my galaxy tablet and LG phone. So having a laptop that runs strictly off the Chrome OS was really nothing new to me but I did have to explore the actual OS to understand certain features/tricks that chrome had to offer. Key Qualities: Fast boot, no real lengthy software installs, plenty of apps (although they could be a lot better) no nonsens, works right out the box. All you need is a gmail account. battery life is great on a single charge I can go a full work day with minimal usage. Oh yeah and it has a memory card reader. Definitely a great purcase. Chromebook for the basic usage WIN!!!

Cons: As I mentioned the apps or great but they have the potential to be 100x better but it's a baby OS so we'll see how far google can take it and hopefully the devs (google or otherwise) will create apps with more kick. As far as the design goes, this complaint goes to samsung for their port layout. Having everything in the back kind of sucks I have to move the notebook around to access my USB's or plug in the power cable. As opposed to just having everything accessible on the sides, glad at least the Memory card reader got a side slot. That's my only con, as I said I knew what I wanted and this was exactly what I was looking for at a price that just makes sense.

Overall Review: Next I'll be getting a touchscreen one and I'll probably give this one away to someone who needs it just because. Don't misunderstand this though, I love it and will use it until I get the touch one, it absolutely does what's advertised.

Good move

ASUS Zenfone 2 Unlocked Smart phone, 5.5" Red, 32GB Storage 4GB RAM, US Warranty
ASUS Zenfone 2 Unlocked Smart phone, 5.5" Red, 32GB Storage 4GB RAM, US Warranty

Pros: Nice sized HD screen, Excellent UI(Asus UI is one of the most customizable interfaces I've used in a while outside of nova), Quck charge is just that ( literally sit it for 20 mins on the charger you'll have half your battery back maybe more) and the battery seems to last forever under slightly heavy usage. Unlocked, which means I won't be stuck with a Wi-Fi only phone should I switch carriers. Great Camera app/features (camera is decent, the app makes it better). Size and shape work for me one handed even with the amzer case I got for it. Fast! I mean my nexus 5 can go neck and neck when its ram isn't used up but this thing barely uses the 4gb of ram it has and even at 2.5-3gb it still functions optimally. Boot time is in seconds not minutes. At 32gb's I actually have space to do things as opposed to my 16gb nexus. A gang of fonts, ringtones, and useful tools like kids mode (for the parents out there). Dual SIM (gotta find another SIM I can use, lol) and you can label and adjust SIM preferences. Loud, especially when paired with my Bluetooth speaker. Overall a steal for $199 (got it on the last sale) that can do pretty much everything, except a few things listed in cons but at the price I really can't complain. The pc suite and the PC link app are epic, I used to use several PC remote apps that had to be paid for but those work the same way and to be able to access my phone on my pc or control my pc from my phone is always a plus.

Cons: no fingerprint scanner, no wireless charging and because I missed the sale before last, no free gifts, lol. But none of that is worth not giving this phone 5 eggs. I already knew it didn't have the scanner although I was slightly disappointed about the wireless charging since my Nexus has it and I bought a new wireless charger thinking this phone could use it as well. Not a deal breaker though, the NFC is still useful for transfers between phones and the quick charge makes up for it mostly. Not to mention I'm always on it now so it wouldn't have time to sit on a charge pad anyway. My nexus can use it so while its still alive ill dedicate the charge pad to it.

Overall Review: I can be hit or miss sometimes with my phone purchases but I nailed my needs with this one. It took me weeks to get up the nerve to make the purchase (hence why I missed the first sale with the goodies) I was comparing it with the honor 5x and a few others. This one just seemed to haunt my dreams and speak to me in more ways than the others, might have been partially due to advertising (Asus did will with their pictures and colors, lol) in comparison though this phone pretty much beat all the ones I was looking at mostly in regards to cost and features the others did not have. Its worth every penny, maybe more but then again I didn't want to pay more than 200 for a phone...$220 with the extended protection from newegg was as far as I needed to go. All in all this is a perfect replacement for my Nexus 5, its screen is cracked and I'm having the power button issue. So I needed a nice alternative because I didn't want to do any repairs (lazy) even though I still use it for music and things. I actually love the ZF2 like I still love my Nexus 5 and if you know about xda devs then you know you can turn this monster into an even greater beast. I also got this to get away from the crappy coolpad I had been using from metro (my nexus was tmobile and they blacklisted it, so it was just used for Wi-Fi calling, music and so on) I'm thankful I don't have to use the coolpad anymore though. Oh yeah, and free QUALITY (that needs emphasis) earphones come in the box...the sound is so crisp, loud and pleasant with bass that may make your ears bleed and I love it. Oh and of course the expandable memory (oh how I missed thee) my nexus failed in that area so I had to juggle balancing apps, music and regular everyday data usage. The coolpad had expandable mem but apps couldn't be installed on it, it kept downloading to my phone instead of the sd and it just pissed me off royally at how sluggish it was. If you're smart enough not to spend 100's of $$$ on crapple tech or Samsung phones (some Google/LG phones are worth the money...emphasis on some) and you want more for your money the ZF2 should meet all your needs. As Mike Z had stated before me this goes neck and neck with the more high-end phones out there without breaking the bank.

Newegg where's my review?

New Hybrid Warrior Rugged Kickstand Case Black For Asus Zenfone 2 ZE550ML ZE551ML
New Hybrid Warrior Rugged Kickstand Case Black For Asus Zenfone 2 ZE550ML ZE551ML

Pros: Anyway, great case! Fits snug and feels great to my fingers. Haven't used the stand but when I install Kodi I'm sure it'll serve its purpose. Delivery was prompt, ordered on the 1st of Feb with the phone and a set of tempered glass protectors, it arrived 3 days after which was expected.

Cons: As a previous reviewer stated the power button is a little too tough to press. I actually would have preferred a cut out like the headphone jack, mics, etc; but then again...with my owning a nexus 5, protecting the power button is now a priority to me so it makes sense. Anyway, this is a minute issue considering the zf2 has tap to wake and sleep features natively so I rarely use the power button.

Overall Review: Retailers sell cases like this for a little more than what I paid so I'm grateful. kudos to amzer helping me stay in budget.

YAY!! No wires

Microsoft JR9-00011 Xbox 360 Wireless Controller for Windows
Microsoft JR9-00011 Xbox 360 Wireless Controller for Windows

Pros: Just smashed a 3 HR session of Assasins Creed Black Flag and yes...I love this controller. Already owned a madcatz 360 controller but it was pretty old and of course wired. So I thought I'd just go wireless for a change. Setup was instant, no drivers needed since the other controller used the same ones. Didn't need the cd it came with just plug in the adapter, put batteries into the controller and hold the home button.

Cons: no clear way of knowing your controller is off nor how to turn it off until you here the disconnect sound...at first I thought a device/drive failed but I noticed the light was off on the controller indicating that. I think that's something you should put in the guide...just sayin. Scared me half to death.

Overall Review: My madcatz controller is a little more comfortable but no biggie, I love the wirelessness I got going on now. Once my tv gets in I can play my PC games from bed, lol.

Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB DDR3 1333 (PC3 10600) Desktop Memory Model BLS8G3D1339DS1S00

Pros: It's 8gb's of greatness added to the 16 I already had for a total of 24gb's

Cons: .......seriously?

Overall Review: Does what it's supposed to do. Now I got hella ram to do whatever my heart desires. Still gonna order another when there's a real good price so I can get to the 32 gb status.

Meh

The protector doesn't cover the screen fully. The package arrived a few days after the estimated time of arrival. No tracking information was provided whatsoever except a "shipped" status from newegg. Only reason they didn't get one egg is because they gave me 2 protectors, lol. Probably won't buy from these guys again, night pay a little more to someone else just for piece of mind. Just hoping the protectors are tough, so far so good.
