Works but loud
Pros: I bought this card to play Diablo III. It performs well at 1920x1080 with all quality settings on high. I still notice some slowdown when there is lots of action on the screen, but it's rare and not enough to bother me.
Cons: The main downside is the noise. This card is by far the loudest component in my computer. I have a hard time hearing people when I'm next to my computer now, and I turn the volume up because of this card.
Overall Review: The card requires a 6-pin pci-e power connection, it won't work without it. It would have been nice if it said so somewhere on the box or in the installation instructions.
Works but not quiet
Pros: Capacity, price
Cons: Loud seek noise, definitely louder than any of my other drives. Random loud clicking noise even when there's not supposed to be any activity on the drive, so loud it has me worried that something is getting damaged.
Pretty good
Pros: Good video quality, lightweight, has built-in speakers, low energy consumption.
Cons: Takes about 11 secs to turn on (a few seconds of Acer logo, a few seconds of EnergyStar Logo, a few seconds of blackness). The sound from the built-in speakers is really flimsy.
Doesn't work
Pros: None
Cons: The computer can detect that a monitor is attached, but the monitor doesn't get a signal from the computer. No image, the product doesn't work.
Not satisfied
Pros: It does work to some degree... Initial setup was reasonably easy, and the wireless range seems good.
Cons: The router works for a little while, but then we lose internet and have to unplug and replug it to reset it. This happens probably about once a day. The configuration software is also very lacking. The time cannot be set manually, and connecting to the time server doesn't appear to work. Since the time is completely wrong and changes whenever the router is reset, programming a schedule to turn wireless on and off at certain times is impossible. Some configuration settings, for example changing the wireless SSID, don't take effect until the router is reset. Also, the DNS server can't be changed manually.
Overall Review: It seems that the hardware is fine. If the manufacturer fixed the software issues (stability, functionality, user interface), this could be a good product.
Not too bad for the price
Pros: It works and plays videos nicely. The display is nice to look at if you're in a dark room. I'm able to play videos in 1080p on an external monitor via the mini-HDMI. I can attach external USB storage devices via the micro-USB host port.
Cons: There's a lot of glare / reflections, so this tablet would be quite unusable outside. The sound from the speakers is flimsy, and using ear phones, you get a lot of static background noise. Web pages seem to load very slowly. File transfer speeds on my wireless-G network are very slow (450-650kB/s).
Overall Review: Ordered this on Friday night, got it the following Wednesday afternoon, that's 3 business days instead of the 5 to 10 it was supposed to take.
