Good board, at least for me.
Pros: Under FreeBSD 9.0 on a GB MB I am able to achieve 1Gb-10% without effort.
Cons: The BSD folks do not yet support larger MTUs.
Questionable quality
Pros: Large amount of data in a single package. Not fast but not slow. Great for my storage and data manipulation servers.
Cons: I am unsure about the quality of these drives. Under heavy usage, SMART reported an increasing number of uncorrectable errors for one of my three drives (all less than a month old). That drive had increasing uncorrectable error counts and randomly went off-line so I filed a RMA. Another disk has a small number of uncorrectable error counts and I am keeping an eye on it. My drives experience heavy usage under ZFS.
Overall Review: Although I believe the drives' quality is a question mark, I have bought two more. I use a fair amount of drives and I am hopeful my experience is an anomaly. I have had trouble with other vendors and models.
Meets expectations. Works great.
Pros: Meet expectations. Works great. No problems. Surprised by the amount of memory the board supports. Wow.
Cons: Reliable drivers for RealTek Ethernet under non-Windows operating systems can be touchy. This board would be better if it used an Intel Ethernet chip.
Overall Review: None.
Unimpressive
Pros: It works.
Cons: I am unimpressed with this device's performance. I bought four to use in ZFS systems (L2Arc and ZIL). After performance testing on a 3 2TB disk RAIDz array (L2Arc), I found I got either little better or no better spindle performance then without it. I also tested performance on a 10 2TB disk RAIDz array and notice little impact however I got noticeable performance improvement with other SSDs.
Overall Review: Bought four, returning two.
