VERY nice board!
Pros: After shopping around and researching I bought this board. I was hesitant not to stay with Asus. I had a Q6600 on a Asus P5E for my last build. The overclocking softerware (AXTU) works great. I had no problems with the board layout. It has 2 Sata 3 ports, HDMI (I used for initial set up before adding vid card), and the onboard sound is fine. The board looks sleek and is built well.
Cons: After a month of game play, internet surfing, etc.. I have not had any issues. As others have noted it could use a few more USB ports.
Overall Review: I am very pleased with my purchase and it is a bargain for what you get. Don't let the newer name fool you. This is a quality mobo at a steal of a price. Upgrading from an old Q6600, P5E mobo, WD Raptor, 9800 GTX in SLI.. It was time... This is a beast for a build around $1000. Washed and bright
Pros: You get what you pay for. It does work and is viewable. It is not a beautiful image, by any means. For a work monitor it is fine...
Cons: The stand is "fixed" and you will not have a great viewing angle in most set ups. The contrast is pretty bad.. the blacks are light and not deep. There seems to be a brightness from the bottom fading toward to the top.
Overall Review: I have tried to adjust the settings with no real change to this issues with wash, contrast etc. Again, for a work monitor it can be used, once you get used to it.
8 YEARS LATER- 0 ISSUES!
Pros: I bought this in April of 2008. I am approaching 8 years of hard use and have had no problems with this unit.
Cons: None
Overall Review: I would buy this again and would certainly recommend this product to others.
It is ok...
Pros: It has been fine. It is a bit slow at times. I do have and use USB3. This could be a driver, chipset, etc issue. But, I have had it on two systems. For a storage drive, I dont expect blazing fast write times. But, there are times, with no apparent reason it is slower.
Cons: None (other than above)
Works Great For Samsung Blue Ray
Pros: I bought this in lieu of buying the propietary dongle from Samsung. It took little effort to setup and I have had no issues streaming videos and using netflix via this dongle.
Cons: none
Overall Review: If you are looking to not pay $80 for a Samsung dongle...get this.
Awesome!
Pros: While I always want the latest and greatest. This processor has kept me happy for 2 years now. I have had no issues. My PC is quick with everything I ask it to do. ( I wish they would beef up my work PC) I run this at 4.0 GHZ using my Asrock OC software. I use fan cooling and heat sink. With work and kids.. I dont have the time anymore to play with manual overclocking. But, I have seen no need to push it any futher.. .... GREAT PROCESSOR!
Cons: None
