Great Product for Software RAID
Pros: Great product. Plugged in the PCI-e card, put in 2 Seagate Barracuda 1tb drives and booted. I run linux based software raid on using mdadm and my newly built Centos OS saw the drives individually right away, so I just built my Raid 1 mirror and was off! Decent transfer speeds as I'm not using a striped raid and more than sufficient for my fileserver.
Cons: None so far. In reading the other posts, I will have to watch the fan as it ages I guess, but that is not difficult although maybe I will change it proactively as that is inexpensive compared to the overall cost here.
Died after 2 years
Pros: Worked decently when it was alive, although not real fast through put.
Cons: Died after 2 years and 2 months. Looking at the other reviews, it seems to be a trend. Probably has an inferior MB in it as it powers up, but I assume the board has to process and translate the power down to what the circuit needs.
Super Device
Pros: This does what it says. Charges both Apple and Android devices between 2-3 full times depending on exactly how low and if you are using the phone all the while you are charging it.
Cons: My only concern is the micro usb port for charging does not seem tight after a few uses, otherwise it is working as advertised just fine 1 month later.
Overall Review: At pricing of less than $25 as it has been recently, I would recommend it.
So Far - Very Impressed
Pros: Providing it doesn't die (some of the other reviews make me cautious), this thing is doing a great job! I use it on a Galaxy Note II. It's 2 amp output is obvious and my phone charges much faster than a standard car charger would when I'm on the road. I can be streaming Sirius to my radio and it still charges and increases it's charge at a sufficient level. So far, after twice charging approx 1 and 1/2 full charges on my phone, it has only dropped to 2 lights, so I definitely believe it could charge it 3 times from 20% to full before a re-charge, although I have re-charged it without taking it all of the way down.
Cons: None so far, it does exactly what it is supposed to. Slightly heavier and slightly larger than another that I own, but also a larger rated as it is 10400 mAh.
Overall Review: Worth the money.
Worked Flawlessly
Pros: I needed this to use as a 1-1, non-NAT router on my static 5 block. This worked very well.
Cons: None
Overall Review: I have used many Buffalo products and always been satisfied.
Good units overall
Pros: Easy to install and mount to a monitor. Easily runs basic workstation functions and internet use if used for those purposes. Boots quickly and efficiently on Windows 7 w/ 8gb memory and SSD drive. I run Linux also on some (own 10 of these in our businesses) and it runs well on 4gb and transitional laptop drive w/o ssd. Handles many different USB devices without an issue. If using Windows, install the included drivers.
Cons: Will not run wireless on Linux without rebuilding the driver package as a general rule (definitely need to on Ubuntu). Out of 10 of these, 1 came DOA with a stuck power button and after 3 months of use, that just occurred to another one so I will RMA. Otherwise would have given it 5 stars.
Overall Review: Overall, easiest units I have found for mounting to vesa mounts.
