Pros: Tuner works well with Vista 32/64. Installed without a hitch, was recognized by Vista Media Center and working within 10 minutes (after the guide downloaded). Didn't need to have separate Analog tuner installed like the XP Media Center. Signal strength with included antenna was excellent (it wasn't able to pick up 1 channel that my homes HD antenna has trouble with).

Cons: None.

Overall Review: Several reviews have complained that's it's only ATSC and not NTSC/QAM. The specifications say that so it shouldn't be a surprise. Won't be a need for NTSC because it's going away in February 2009. Would be nice to have QAM, but there is the AVerMedia AVerTV Hybrid Volar Max if you need it.

Pros: 5 bay extenal unit that fairly well built with adequate cooling. All 5 drives are recognized individually.

Cons: Can not get the RAID5 feature working reliably under any operating system (XP, Windows 2003 Server, Windows 2008 Server, or Vista). Doesn't matter if it's the 32 or 64 bit versions. The problem is whenever the machine is restarted/turned on, after a normal shutdown, the software says the array is corrupt and needs to be rebuilt. Talked with tech support and they didn't seem to know how to support their own product. Neither Rosewill or Sans Digital (who actually makes the box) could figure it out. They would give the typical "it may be your drivers" answer. I tried all the drivers that came with the boxes (yes I bought 2 of theses), plus the drivers from their site, and issue remains.

Overall Review: I purchased 2 of these boxes and they both display the same issue with RAID5. The HDD drives I'm using are Hitachi 1TB drives. I suspected it might be a motherboard compatibility issue so I tried it on three (3) different brands of motherboards without success. I have been building and installing computers for 15+ years and never had an issue like this before. Finally decided to let the OS handle the RAID5 and just use these as drive holders. If you'd be satisfied with your OS handling the RAID5, I can recommend these units. If you are buying these for the built-in (although software-based) RAID5 functionality, DON'T!

Pros: At this moment I can't think of any pros because I'm upset!

Cons: This phone went out to lunch and stopped holding internet connections, began shutting off unexpectedly, and freezing for long periods of time. The replacement they sent me wasn't much better as it had several issues from the moment I turned it on. They released a new firmware update that caused the battery to no longer charge! They had to overnight me a battery so that I could turn the phone on and go back to an older version of the firmware. Their quality control seems to be non-existent as I found several forums where LOTS OF PEOPLE were having the same issues with their phones, and then some.

Overall Review: This is an update to my earlier review where I gave it 4 stars. Wish I could take that review back, but can't, so I'm doing an update. With other alternatives out there, and more coming everyday, I would look elsewhere for a phone. Pharos has offered me my money back, and I'm taking it and buying a Touch Pro 2.

Pros: Big, bright, colorful screen. Unlocked, and runs on both T-Mobile 3G and AT&T (1900Mhz, not the 850Mhz) 3G networks. Included GPS software with all maps on microSD card so you don't need a data connection. Solidly built, with solid feel and no rattling noises (don't laugh, I've had phones that rattled before). Office Mobile software suite allows me to edit Word, and Excel docs. FM tuner is functional (see other thoughts below). Windows Mobile (which some hate, but I love) that allwos me to customize to my hearts content. If you use Exchange Server, quick setup for real-time, always on, syncronization. Tethering through USB or Bluetooth out of the box (like most Windows Mobile phones. No Jailbreaking or Unbrading/Unlocking needed. It just works!) Mobile Shell 3.0 interface is pretty intuitive and responsive.

Cons: Runs a little hot. Have had it shutdown on me a couple times while running processor intensive program. Has gone through 3 ROM updates since release (they finally got a very functional build with the last update). If you don't want to flash your phone then it may not be for you especially since the update to Windows 6.5 is coming in a few weeks. The GPS software "sometimes" lags a bit. This is annoying during city driving because you may miss your turn. Doesn't happen as much with highway driving since you get voice prompts at 1-mile, and 1/2 mile increments. No hardware keyboard. Battery life (see other thoughts).

Overall Review: Would have given it 5 eggs except for 2 primary reasons: 1. it's taken them several ROM updates to get it where I actually like using it daily. 2. FM headset connector is non-standard. Slightly better specs than the T-Mobile Touch Pro 2, minus the keyboard. I did a side-by-side comparison of the 2 phones at a T-Mobile store a few weeks ago (when I was considering pickin up a TP2 and giving the Pharos to my brother) and liked the Pharos better. The Pharos screen was brighter and more vivid (16M colors as opposed to 64K colors). I thought the touch screen was slightly more responsive (probably because of the application selection process). Loved the hardware keyboard on the TP2, but not enough to give up the Pharos. My friend has since purchased a TP2, and we've discovered that battery life is not according to spec on either device. Probably because 3G drains the battery pretty quickly.
