This review is from: Plantronics RIG 500E Surround Sound PC Headset - E-Sports Edition
Pros: The build quality is ok but it is VERY light. i will commend them for that. but there is a problem with that (see cons)
cups feel great over the ears
Cons: I feel robbed. 150 bucks for headphones that should be 30 bucks. what did i pay for? the speakers in the headphones are bar non the worst ive ever owned. the 30 dollar (used to be 50) creative headphones sound much better than these at a 5th of the cost. I was so very surprised considering some of the things i read around the web. i figured id take a stab, free game right? ill happily return both, not worth 150 bucks by a long shot.
Other Thoughts: Avoid this product. i dont know why they feel they need to charge so much.... the build quality is that of a 50 dollar set of headphones, it feels very brittle. im sure its fairly durable, but its abs plastic. I have a very good sound card (imho). i have a soundblaster Z, and the razor headphones i got refurbed ages ago for approx 90 bucks has wayyyy better sound. the only reason i was trying to get new ones is the mic.... ill happily spend time now to fix my mic lol.
for reference, i keep my windows sound level between 5 and 8 % with my razors. i have to bump it up to nearly 40 (around 36) with these to get it to be at least close to the same volume. i have to kick my base up to 100% and i dont even get close to the base my razors put out at 30% (in creative control panel). at 100% my razors practically vibrate off my ears and is too loud lol. not trying to sell razor headphones, but seriously.
Pros: memory has great bandwidth and performance. it is in an evga x58 classified 3 (e770 version) and works great with the i7 960 thats in it. dont know why the reviewer before me couldnt get it to run right, runs fine :S
Cons: none that i can see.
Other Thoughts: if you still have an x58 platform, this is a great triple channel kit above 1600mhz, which saves you having to overclock the memory, just the base clock a bit ;P memory dividers people ;P use them. also dont forget to change the mch strap on x58 platforms (if you can). it can help alot.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: so this card is amazing and all, 55% fan keeps it at 60C or lower (even when overclocked O.o).
Cons: what you should know about this card is that from a certain production date on, the evbot connection has been removed due to nvidia being a total communistic but hole. evga has been forced to do this to 100% comply to nvidias strict limitations on voltage modding from external devices, which is prohibited by nvidia, like they have control over it or something >.> so be warned, your classy MAY or MAY NOT have the evbot connector. i bought from the egg not a month ago, and mine has it, so i got lucky, just be warned. if you didnt know and got one without the evbot, talk to matthew at evga directly for assistance.
Other Thoughts: other than nvidia taking a turn for the worst and forgetting the customer, its a great card. buy ati, they are have not forgotten their customers.READ FULL REVIEW
