Intel Core i7-2700K - Core i7 2nd Gen Sandy Bridge Quad-Core 3.5GHz (3.9GHz Turbo) LGA 1155 95W Intel HD Graphics 3000 Desktop Processor - BX80623i72700K
Intel Core i7-2700K - Core i7 2nd Gen Sandy Bridge Quad-Core 3.5GHz (3.9GHz Turbo) LGA 1155 95W Intel HD Graphics 3000 Desktop Processor - BX80623i72700K

Pros: This thing is amazing. Got it to 5 Ghz without a problem at 1.42 vcore, could have done it lower more than likely but power supply can't keep stable. Using coolmaster N520 it was hitting 73C on the hottest core under full load.

Cons: The stock cooler is useless. Did not bother to even touch it this go round. People have reported upwards of 90C at stock speeds with it and since its the same design from the old core2s, this does not surprise me.

Overall Review: Why intel even includes a cooler with this puzzles me. They should just take it out and drop a few dollars off the price. Anyone buying this should be planning to OC (if not why are you getting a k series processor?) and will likely be buying their own cooler. If you just want to run stock speeds and cooler you are probably better off with the 2600. If you are looking to push the limits this is certainly the processor to do it with, with proper cooling it will easily hit 5.2+. yes you could be lucky with a 2600k, but i think i do not regret the few extra dollars for better assurance of quality.

Most Critical Review

Diabolic Abomination

Diablo III PC / Mac Game
Diablo III PC / Mac Game

Pros: It's Diablo, story continues from D2 and is well written. You can actually make real money on the AH. Set's seem more desirable than Diablo2 and have increased rarity.

Cons: Gameplay is horrible compared to D2. It feels like I'm playing WoW with nothing but a mouse. Using a seperate movement key makes it easier to avoid mess on the ground without clicking an enemy and attacking while standing in it, but this destroys the feel of Diablo. The lack of distributable stats, truly unique legendary items, lack of good usable end game skills, and low amount of randomization to maps give the game a very linear feel in which almost all endgame builds for each class end up using the same skills. Most legendaries if not all of them are worthless now that the attack speed has been nerfed. I have seen most of these complaints on every review I've seen of this game. One that I do not see and bothered my terribly about this game is they capped the max level at 60, a break from D1/D2, and made an MMO style endgame. With no constantly released patches or new content this basically means there is no end game. In diablo 2 it took a huge amount of time to reach max level.

Overall Review: The only real benefit to this game is I was able to recoup the money I paid for it through the RMAH. If you want a game for about 20 hours of fun buy it the first play through is fairly fun. If you are expecting a game like Diablo 2 which you will pick back up after a decade and get another 20+ hours of fun out of, don't bother this game is already dead.

Great Game

Sid Meier's Civilization V PC Game
Sid Meier's Civilization V PC Game

Pros: I don't know what to say. It's just like civilization with better graphics. The non stacking of combat units and longer production times give battles a much more strategic feel, more so than just mass units and attack. I am not sure why so many people have problems with steam, I can only assume that they do not have proper updates on their computer. I have steam on 3 different Windows 7 machines and have had it on several XP systems since 2004. I have never had a problem other than if you are playing without internet, in which case I think offline mode would only work for up to a week before needing to reconnect.

Cons: Have not run into any problems. I do miss espionage, but this can be obtained in the new expansion.

Overall Review: People claiming steam is the worst client out there obviously have never tried to play a game on Origin.

It's a big mouse pad

Cyborg COV4380500A1/06/1 PC G.L.I.D.E.7 Gaming Surface

Pros: Got this is a combo with the RAT 7 Infection. Makes a good large surface for your mouse. Interesting, but not overpowering artwork on it.

Cons: It wasn't free. 10 years ago I would have come home with 30 mouse pads after visiting a trade show, now everyone just give flash drives it seems. They were never this nice though in all fairness. Takes a little while to lay flat too after unrolling it out of the package.

Overall Review: After playing on smaller mouse pads and desk surface for years I can't believe I didn't spring for one of these earlier. No PC FPS gamer should be without something like this.

A step back, still a decent mouse though.

Cyborg R.A.T.7 Infection CCB437080020/04/1 1 x Wheel USB Wired Laser Mouse

Pros: Highly customizable mouse with on the fly dpi changing. Really been happy with the RAT 7 line despite a few problems.

Cons: Having owned the previous 5600 dpi version of this mouse I noticed a few things right out of the box. This is the same price range as the previous mouse yet the plastic seems to be slightly cheaper. What was coated in a nice rubberized finish on the old mouse is not glossy and a little more difficult to get a good grip on. The left thumb support also seems weaker than the old mouse and has some give to it. I am replacing the other one after about a year and a half of heavy use. The forward thumb button has become sporadic and requires several pushes to work. I can't really fault it much since it went through several 100k pushes before dying.

Overall Review: The accessory case is also cheaper, the old one was polished aluminum, the new one is plain black plastic. (Not a big deal) Overall I have found the customization more than outweighs the minor quality issues. If I had not had the previous version to compare this to I would probably have given five stars, but I am just not as impressed as when I opened the box on my previous mouse so something must be lost.

MSI Radeon HD 6870 1GB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 CrossFireX Support Video Card with Eyefinity R6870 Twin Frozr II
MSI Radeon HD 6870 1GB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 CrossFireX Support Video Card with Eyefinity R6870 Twin Frozr II

Pros: Great card, got two of these in crossfire. Easily overclocked to 1000MHtz with a lil xtra voltage. Cards run very cool for how little ventilation room they have in crossfire. Cards rarely ever breaks 60C under full load and 30C ambient.

Cons: Have not found anything as of yet.

Overall Review: If you are having drver resets or black screens your voltage is probably too low for your clock speed. I needed about 1.2 to be stable at 1000MHtz.
