AWESOME duster

Metropolitan ED500 DataVac 120 Volt Computer and Electronics Electric Blower | Electric Duster, White
Metropolitan ED500 DataVac 120 Volt Computer and Electronics Electric Blower | Electric Duster, White

Pros: I got this duster for working on computers and not only has it saved me money on buying a ton of compressed air cans, it works really well. - Powerful. In fact, sometimes if you point it too close to a fan, you might break the fan so be careful! - Electrical - Easy to clean filter - Awesome

Cons: Nothing really unless there's a way we can make it wireless. That, and careful not to point it too close to sensitive products, as it is powerful and can break flimsy hardware.

Too much trouble for 1 year of ownership

Acer Aspire S3-391-6899 13.3" Ultrabook
Acer Aspire S3-391-6899 13.3" Ultrabook

Pros: Very light weight. Great for school if you have to carry a bunch of things with you all the time.

Cons: Everything else. - Sent it in shortly before warranty was up because wireless was working off and on. They repaired that. - Shortly after the warranty was over, we had to replace the hard drive. - You're paying a definite premium for weight. The laptop isn't that fast.

Overall Review: I got this for my sister who has some back problems and needed something very light. Otherwise, I'd put that money towards something a lot more powerful. Just too much trouble, even though I am in computer repair, to have to fix the thing each time something went wrong.

Great keyboard for the price

LITE-ON SK-1788/BS Black and Gray 104 Normal Keys PS/2 Wired Standard Keyboard
LITE-ON SK-1788/BS Black and Gray 104 Normal Keys PS/2 Wired Standard Keyboard

Pros: Works great and lasted me at least a year or two without any real problems.

Cons: Currently, the keys are becoming increasingly difficult to press. Sometimes I hit a key and it doesnt register so I go back a couple times before I can get it to kick in. I'm typing on it now and it's been ok but it does happen occasionally, there feels to be some resistance to the keys.

Overall Review: For the price, worth it

Dead in 1.5 months

Seagate Laptop Thin ST500LT012 500GB 5400 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 2.5" Internal Notebook Hard Drive Bare Drive
Seagate Laptop Thin ST500LT012 500GB 5400 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 2.5" Internal Notebook Hard Drive Bare Drive

Pros: It fits in the laptop.

Cons: Replaced an S3-391 bad drive. Eventually, the computer would only boot sometimes. The drive showed up on my SATA dock after a couple drives and I ran a scan and it checked out. I proceeded to replace other parts, only to find out the drive was causing the problem. Popped in another drive temporarily and it booted up and works fine. Doing an exchange but wasted a lot of time on this =/

Overall Review: Wish the laptop didn't only fit thin drives lol

Has potential, but difficult to get used to

SteelSeries Merc Stealth Black USB Wired Ergonomic Gaming Keyboard
SteelSeries Merc Stealth Black USB Wired Ergonomic Gaming Keyboard

Pros: Potentially can be very useful for mmo/fps type gaming with nearby skill keys, etc. Cool that it lights up and has connectors for headphone/mic.

Cons: - Difficult to get used to: They put the end/home, etc keys with the numpad, as well as the arrow keys. Very annoying for someone who often takes advantage of scrolling documents with page down/page up, end, home, etc. Also takes a lot of getting used to on the numpad. I'm a lot slower on it than a regular size numpad. I'm used to completing web addresses in Chrome by hitting the arrow keys and typing the next letter. Having the arrow keys as part of the numpad throws me off big time. - Keyboard is very large. I have it sitting down with a mouse on a large gaming mouse pad and if I wanna use the "gamepad", I have to scoot it in taking up precious mouse real estate, and then if i wanna type I have to scoot it back to the left. - Gamepad is neat but I still feel a bit more effective with the keyboard. I've forced myself to use it for a while but still not used to it. Has potential, especially for games with number keys as skills (as they are on top of each other instead of one long row). I am now trying to sell mine. Just don't have the patience to get used to it =/

Overall Review: If you don't care about numpads, arrow keys, home/end/etc keys, then you might be ok.

Great price but network scanning issues

Samsung CLX Series CLX-4195FW MFC / All-In-One Up to 19 ppm 9600 x 600 dpi Color Print Quality Color Ethernet (RJ-45) / USB / Wi-Fi Laser Printer
Samsung CLX Series CLX-4195FW MFC / All-In-One Up to 19 ppm 9600 x 600 dpi Color Print Quality Color Ethernet (RJ-45) / USB / Wi-Fi Laser Printer

Pros: Prints great, faxes fine, copies fine, scans fine (with USB).

Cons: The fax had some trouble, but it seems like when we switched the cable out, it was fixed. It's odd, though, I got a dial tone fine with the 'bad' cable when hooking it up to a phone, so not sure why it would not work with the fax. Scan - Wireless scanning is SLOOOW. I have yet to have a wireless scan complete successfully, it usually tells me it lost connection to the scanner or something. I tried hooking up the printer through LAN and then scanning wirelessly from a laptop and it was not better. Had to hook it up to one computer through USB which I hate to do for customers, it looks bad. This is with a new router that I have recently installed for the same customer.

Overall Review: Great for the price point, just wish the scanning thing could be patched, or worked out.
