Budget Card
Pros: This is a great solution for budget gaming rigs when paired up with the new Kaveri APU. The rig I just assembled for my brother pulled in a 7.2 on the WEI whilst properly optimized and hit reasonable FPS in the Heaven, Valley and Star Swarm gaming bench programs.
Cons: This is not an ultimate gaming GPU but paired with the right APU you're still looking at a favorable $/stream ratio.
Overall Review: I like the card and AMDs HSA & Dual-Graphics have come a long way towards making them more attractive market offerings but I would still call this a little above entry-level.
Adequate For Its Price Point
Pros: Good layout and easy Bios/Drivers. Appears to be of good build quality. Built a Ryzen 3 rig (to replace my old FX) with lighted Ram and I'm very satisfied with the overall appearance and performance.
Cons: I don't see any problems with this board. Features are in line with price-point.
Overall Review: Not a board-specific concern but be aware that the bracket/mounting for the AM4 socket is not the same as the AM2+/AM3 platform. I did not research this prior to purchasing this board and was disappointed to find that my V8 cooler does not fit and there is currently no bracket that fits. In fact, pickings seem slim for large after-market coolers at the time of this review. Barely worth complaining about but certainly worth noting.
Revised Review
Pros: This is a spacious case with great ventilation and mounts for radiators. Aesthetically, it has an attractive industrial appeal particularly when used in the full stacked unit. With only two fans running, the rig I built in this maintained under 50c through stress-testing (i3-4370 & R9 285).
Cons: The front PSU mount is a great idea but should anything clip the line running from the front of the case to the back, or anything go wrong at the rear outlet I imagine the case would be done for. It just seems that it would be a very unique replacement part. Since the setup appears sturdy it's not worth deducting an egg. With the location of the side panel fan/radiator mounts, don't plan on being able to install full size fans on the back/right-side panel. The vertical hard drive mount is in the way. Since the product description does state the mounts to be usable I'm deducting one egg. It's a nitpicky complaint but I'm not inclined to be very forgiving (see other thoughts).
Overall Review: This is a revised review since I don't see the option to amend my previous one. CoolerMaster has since made good on their rebate offer and I feel their reevaluation is a credit to their customer service even if it took a negative public review to prompt them to do so.
Great Choice
Pros: -Fantastic screen quality -Tremendous pixel real-estate compared in price-point to 1080p monitors. This monitor is my first foray into resolutions beyond 1080p and I'm glad I went for it. It was a great choice especially compared to the higher-priced brands offering other panels of this type.
Cons: -Power Converter In order to this this in NA you'll have to find a place on or under your desk for the converter box. It's about the size of an old-school notebook converter so plan accordingly. For myself I've built a sling to mount it under my desk and haven't thought much of it since.
Overall Review: I've had this for some time and have been holding off on a review for fear that, after all, it will prove to have been of some shoddy design and fail on me. Nope. Running strong just as the day I unboxed. It is curious, left to its own devices while powered on but not in use it will frequently flash and then go back to suspend. I've taken to simply switching it off and don't consider this a con or worth removing an egg. 5/5, I would purchase one again.
Pros: Inexpensive and whisper quiet. I grabbed a pair to install into the top of a Sentey Black Box and I'm very pleased. The LEDs are a touch bright for my personal taste but this was for a family member's build so he gets what he asked for.
Cons: None.
Overall Review: These do what they're supposed to at a good price. Not much else to be said.
Not too shabby
Pros: This is an inexpensive set that suffices well for home gaming sound. The lows and highs are adequate even if not exemplary and you'll be hard pressed to find more output for the price tag.
Cons: You'll note a little distortion with very high definition audio but no more than you still might find in a set listed at thrice the price. The truly avid, immersive type of gamer may still want to search out a proper surround set.
Overall Review: I try not to be an audiophile but I've heard better speakers. Mind, I'm talking about very high end sets so take this review for what it is, an endorsement of a low-cost unit that is more than adequate to bump your floor and upset your neighbors. I did wait to put this review in because my first set had a bad distro tower. The unit puts the input through the tower and then to the speakers. My first one blew out after an hour of use and I hadn't even done a stress test on it yet. Kudos to the RMA process. While I'm not exactly thrilled to have had to wait for my replacement, it's been running over two weeks now with no issues.
Prompt Shipping of Advertised Product
I don't ask for much. My purchase arrived quickly. Kudos.,
Expect Delays
Shipping time was nearly a month and tracking information was either inaccurate or untrackable by NewEgg site. Their response to my inquiry was timely, polite and they sent me their tracking information so I would know where my purchase was. Communication after the order was pleasant and they were very concerned to ensure that I was happy; which I wasn't but it's hard to hold a grudge when they're so nice. Item ordered eventually arrived and performed as advertised. If they can figure out better shipping then I would order from them again.
Satisfying Experience
Ordered over a weekend so there was a noticeable but expected delay in processing but once the order shipped it was here promptly and exactly as described. Would do business with this seller again.
